Every bass player I've met whose used a Walter Woods amp even once has been stunned. All of his amplifiers, dating back to the 1970s, have impressed and inspired serious musicians in ways that few other amps can. They're far from run-of-the-mill, even when compared to other pricey units, and for as long as I've been hip to them, I've heard nothing but over-the-top great things about them from mature, thoughtful players, the kind who are seriously dedicated to tone. Deep players have nothing but love for these amps. Big love.
Mr. Woods hand-crafts all of his amps, ever-tinkering, which makes each unit doubly unique. His gradual but never-ending experimentation also makes it difficult to figure out which iteration of whichever model you have in your hands just by looking at them. This one is from the late 1970s, or so I've concluded after a lot of research.
