1966 Sound Electronics Co. Model X305R! Manufactured in Long Island by John Daugherty (former Ampeg employee) This amplifier has all the bells and whistles! Starting with an immensely sturdy and quality build, in the chassis and cabinet as well. Onboard tube driven reverb as well as tremolo. 3 way switch to designate effects to either of the two channels or both. She also sports an original 1966 Jensen C15N boasting an incredible tonal range! Speaker is in immaculate condition as it’s lived it’s life in a solid wood fortress! Amplifier has been fully serviced, needing a full electrolytic recap including a new cap can from CE Manufacturing, any out of spec resistors replaced, grounded power added as well as removing the death cap from the circuit she lastly had a deep internal cleaning off all pots, tube socket and inputs! Still has the original RCA 7868 power tubes, all of the pre amps are new Tung-Sol. This particular amplifier has been in my personal collection for quite a while and I have a small reversible mod installed. I bypassed a 1.5k resistor attached to a cathode of V4 with a 2.2μF @ 25V capacitor. This considerably increased the gain overall for this amp. This mod was sourced from Jeff Bober on his Premier Guitar write up, which you can still refer to.
