Whenever I find one of these US-made Sears parlors, I buy it, and they are impossible to keep in stock. The 12071 is one of my favorite models and this is one of the cleanest examples I've seen. The date is a little faded, but I think it's a '69 and has the appropriate hardware and logo for that year.
Cosmetically, there is no notable damage, fewer scuffs and chips you would expect from a 55 year old guitar! There's a little ring rash and a little board wear in cowboy country, and the faintest buckle rash, but everything else is cherry. Hardware is shiny, finish is clean, faux binding is in good shape, rosette looks nice.
As for the important stuff: tone is beautiful, and exactly what you would expect from the 60's Harmony 319 styles. Excellent intonation, holds tune. Neck is straight, frets are clean and lively. Very nice grain on the top. Top is dead flush, which is rare for the 60-70s. Mechanical parts are all in good shape. Comes with the original case in good condition with working hardware.
