L'Electro Harmonix Slammi est un pitch shifter unique et polyvalent. Il fait partie de la série Next Step, une ligne de pédales caractérisée par une absence totale de pièces mobiles. L'Electro Harmonix Slammi possède un certain nombre de fonctionnalités très attrayantes. Un commutateur Max Bend à 11 positions sur le côté de la pédale de pitch vous permet de régler le pitch maximum que vous voulez que le Slammi atteigne lorsqu'il est poussé à ses limites. Vous avez le choix entre différents intervalles, dont une octave, un demi-ton et un ton plein, avec un maximum de trois octaves.

Le bouton bend détermine si la tonalité monte ou descend. Le contrôle du volume sec influence considérablement votre son global, car il vous permet de mélanger l'effet avec votre signal sec (votre son de guitare habituel). Baissez complètement le signal sec et vous pouvez créer des virages de tonalité subtils et des bombes de plongée comme le produirait un pont de trémolo Floyd Rose.

Il est également possible de jouer une chanson entière à une tonalité inférieure sans changer d'accords. Mélangez l'effet avec le signal sec, cependant, et de magnifiques harmonies font également partie des possibilités.

The Electro Harmonix Slammi is a unique and versatile pitch shifter. It is part of the Next Step series, a line of pedals characterized by a total absence of moving parts. All you need to do for precise control of the pitch-shifting effect is rock the responsive pedal back and forth - a construction that ensures long pedal life, as no parts can break. Use the separately available cradle if you want to add the Slammi to your pedal board.

The Electro Harmonix Slammi has a number of very attractive features. An 11-position Max Bend switch on the side of the pitch pedal lets you set the maximum pitch you want the Slammi to reach when pushed to its limits. You can choose from different intervals, including an octave, a semitone and a full tone, with a maximum of three octaves.

The bend knob determines whether the pitch rises or falls. The dry volume control influences your overall sound, as it allows you to mix the effect with your dry signal (your regular guitar tone). Turn the dry signal all the way down and you can create subtle tonal bends and dive bombs like a Floyd Rose tremolo bridge would fit.

It is also possible to play an entire song at a lower key without changing chords. Mix the effect with the dry signal, however, and beautiful harmonies are also within the possibilities.
