The Kestrel is a radical redesign of the essential structural system of the acoustic guitar that is exclusive to Soderlund Guitars. The design increases projection, harmonic complexity, playability and serviceability. No more neck resets. The skeleton of wood and carbon fibre minimises structural stressors on the minimally falcate braced top and live back. The primary sound hole provides an easy access port for neck adjustments and a generous cutaway to allow upper fret access. A secondary sound port provides bass-optimised monitoring to the performer on the right side.
This instrument's medium dark toned pau ferro back and sides balance the lively sitka spruce top and the 25.5 to 26.5 inch multiscale neck provides a good bass register and articulate trebles. The wenge bridge and fingerboard offer quick and snappy response.The guitar ships in a hard case.
