G.L. Stiles bass in great condition and ready to play.

Wildly figured chunky maple neck. 34” scale. I suspect the body is poplar. See through blond is done incredibly well, almost certainly nitrocellulose lacquer. Pickups look like Dimarzios. Passive electronics with two volumes and a master tone. Schaller machines work perfectly and feel great. Ebony fretboard with markers visible from space. My words will not describe how cool this bass is.

Stiles was a small builder in Florida in the 60’s through 80’s (I believe, google will reveal more.) It was built to outlive us all and totally solid. The bridge and string tree and maybe the switch plate look like uniquely machined hardware. Beautiful plating job on the bridge.

Great tone and playability with plenty of options, even with the passive circuit. Some nicks and dings as shown but very well cared for. Clean,
functional and probably original hard case with a very interesting sticker collection.

This bass is unlike any other Stiles I’ve ever seen, but I don’t think one offs were unusual for him.

Shipping outside conus is a guess, reverb required a value. Please contact me if you are outside the conus for shipping quote
