Vintage and rare LEFT-HAND Aria Pro II SB-1000 walnut batwing electric bass guitar, made in Japan at the historic Matsumoku factory, March 1979.
Bass is modified - two additional pickups for more power and now passive Varitone gives plenty variety of sound. The milling work has been done professionally, on good neck/bridge positions.
Three massive split-coil MB-I pickups puts out a tremendous low end with an enormous range in tone, with p-bass body design.
The frets are in great shape and all of the electronics work and have been cleaned out. Can be easily rewired to taste, here is plenty of combinations - I sticked to simple wiring.
Guitar is recently set-up.
Some minor dents and scratches here and there (mostly on back side of the body), but one bigger is on the lower horn and it`s lacquered and polished so the wood is smooth and protected and is really almost no visible in normal conditions (but the flashed photo pops it out) as well as open tuning peg cap (as seen on pics) - according to age, but the guitar is in great playing condition.
Specifications:
- Volume
- Tone
- bridge/neck PU balance knob
- middle pickup on/off switch
- passive Varitone, 6-positions
*ask for a case - I have few AriaProII basses.
