Vintage 1937–43 Slingerland Radio King “Gene Krupa Model” – Solid Maple, 6.5x14
Our users rate Reverb
Slingerland Radio King from 1937–1943. Original Radio King !! 100% solid maple. Early-era Gene Krupa model. 6.5-inch version is even harder to find.
Aged beautifully, dry, seasoned shell sounds a resonance unmatched by 50's or later Radio King. Shell and bearing edges are in excellent condition. No peeling or cracks in the reinforcement rings.
Radio King from this era in such good shell is extremely rare. It is clear this drum has been well-cared for over the years.
Batter head is brand new, having been played for only a few taps. One of the screw head of the 3-point strainer is slightly chipped, but fully functional.
