Description:
Up for sale is an exceptional Conrad Götz violin bow dating from the late 1990s to early 2000s. Crafted in Germany by the historic C.A. Götz jr. workshop, this upscale model features a premium octagonal pernambuco stick. The octagonal profile gives this stick added tracking stability, a crisp off-the-string response, and an incredibly strong backbone. This bow is fully authentic, featuring the crisp "CONRAD GÖTZ" stamp deeply impressed into the wood of the stick, along with the official Götz logo embossed directly onto the sides of the plain ebony frog. The frog itself offers a sleek, minimalist aesthetic with no eye inlay, letting the grain of the premium wood and the embossed workshop logo stand out.At 67 grams and measuring 27 3/8 inches in length, this stick sits on the heavier side for a violin bow. If you are a player who prefers a weightier, robust bow that draws out a thick, powerful, and deeply resonant tone with minimal arm strain, this bow feels remarkably secure and stable on the string.Recent Professional Service:
The bow was recently fully serviced and freshly rehaired with top-tier horsehair by master luthier Hans Benning at the legendary Benning Violins in Studio City, California. The silver wire grip, leather thumb wrap, and mechanical button core are tight, perfectly balanced, and completely performance-ready.Specifications:
