Seymour Duncan Apollo J-Bass 5-String 70 Bridge Pickup

The Seymour Duncan Apollo is a linear humbucking design engineered to deliver articulate, punchy lows and controlled midrange clarity in a 5-string bridge application. Built by hand in Santa Barbara using Alnico 5 rod magnets and vacuum wax potting, this pickup balances traditional Jazz Bass character with modern humbucking rejection of electromagnetic noise. It's built for players seeking definition and output without sacrificing the responsiveness of their instrument.

Design & Construction

This pickup features two side-by-side coils hidden under a traditional-looking black cover, combining the aesthetic of a classic Jazz Bass with humbucking noise cancellation. Hand-ground Alnico 5 magnets and vacuum wax potting ensure consistent tone and immunity to microphonic feedback, while the 70mm bridge spacing matches standard 5-string Jazz Bass bridge positions.

Tone & Electronics

The 11.1 kΩ DC resistance positions this pickup in the warm-to-bright spectrum, delivering strong fundamental definition with assertive treble articulation. The 2-conductor shielded cable provides clean signal transmission with minimal noise interference, making integration straightforward in most wiring schemes.
