The Paiste PST X Swiss Flanger Crash 12" is a specialized effect cymbal engineered for drummers seeking aggressive, articulate accents with minimal sustain. This thin-weight crash delivers a distinctive "shattering glass" response with lightning-fast decay, making it ideal for hand-speed punctuation and rapid-fire articulation in contemporary music production and live performance.
Crafted from Paiste's responsive PST X aluminum-copper alloy and featuring a precision hole pattern, this cymbal combines a soft, flexible feel with an earthy, warm tonal character. The narrow frequency range produces a "pre-mixed" fundamental that cuts through dense arrangements without excessive wash, while the 12" diameter ensures instantaneous attack and immediate fade—perfect for studio recording and styles demanding definition over sustain.
