14" GM Designs Crunch Plates – Loud, Crunchy, Metallic & Modular!
Introducing the GM Designs Crunch Plate — a brutally loud, crunchy effects instrument built for players who like their sounds a little less conventional.
The Crunch Plate consists of two approximately 8" x 14" B20 plates, held together by two brass rivets, with one of our B20 jingles attached by cotter pin for an additional voice. Strike it and the two plates collide and react against one another, producing a huge, aggressive CRACK / CRUNCH that cuts through just about anything.
We’ve also added several extra holes throughout the instrument for additional rivets, jingles, mounting points, hanging options, or whatever else you decide to experiment with.
We could tell you exactly how to mount it and play it — but that would defeat the purpose. We started it. The rest is up to you.
