Overdrive pedal Tube Man MKII (NOD-2) | MNU TUBEMAN-OD by NUXThe aim of the Tube Screamer pedals is to increase gain without compromising the sound of the tube overdrive. Overdrive was accomplished by diode-clipping because the original OP-AMP system lacked distortion. However, the genuine sound of an analog tube amp may be preserved by employing a FET transistor system with overdrive and distortion capabilities. This method enables richer, longer leads and more expressive, open, and dynamic rhythms, producing dramatic overdrive with sharp, clear clarity.
