About this listing
JBL AWC62 All-Weather Compact 2-Way Coaxial Loudspeaker with 6.5" LF (Black)
The AWC62 delivers robust output in a remarkably compact footprint, making it an ideal choice for permanent outdoor installations, covered venues, and demanding environmental conditions. Its coaxial design integrates woofer and compression driver on the same acoustic axis, providing coherent sound throughout the coverage area without phase complications from separate cabinets.
Weather Resistance & Durability
Built with a paintable ABS enclosure and IP56 rating, this speaker withstands rain, humidity, salt spray, and temperature extremes—critical for rooftop, poolside, patio, and coastal applications. The steel grille backed with open-cell foam protects internal components while maintaining acoustic transparency, and internal bracing reinforces the cabinet for extended low-frequency output in compact form.
Audio Performance & Coverage
The speaker combines a 165 mm (6.5 in) Kevlar-reinforced woofer with a 25 mm (1 in) compression driver to achieve 70 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response and 120 dB maximum SPL with 175W long-term power handling. Its 110° × 110° dispersion pattern ensures even coverage across wide listening areas, while the integrated multi-tap transformer supports both 70/100V systems and 8-ohm low-impedance operation.
