2013 Ibanez RGIR28FE-BK Iron Label 8-String – EMG 808 – CaseReverb condition: Very GoodAn early, first-year example of the Ibanez RGIR28FE Iron Label eight-string, made in Indonesia in 2013 and finished in gloss black with contrasting cream binding.The RGIR28FE was introduced as a purpose-built extended-range metal guitar rather than simply an RG fitted with two additional strings. Its 27-inch scale provides substantially better definition and tension on the lowest strings, while the thin Nitro Wizard-8 profile and Ibanez All Access Neck Joint keep the instrument fast and approachable across all 24 frets.This 2013 example retains the desirable original neck specification: a five-piece maple and walnut Nitro Wizard-8 neck reinforced with KTS titanium rods. The titanium reinforcement was omitted from subsequent RGIR28FE production.A pair of original active EMG 808 humbuckers deliver the focused low end, fast attack and high output for which this model is known. The Cosmo Black hardware has some natural age-related dulling and oxidation, particularly on the rear tuner housings.The fingerboard and frets present well, with no obvious signs of heavy fret wear. No major chips, breaks or structural repairs are apparent in the supplied photographs. All cosmetic points have been shown as honestly as possible.Supplied in the fitted case pictured.Setup, packing and shipping:Before dispatch, the guitar will receive a final inspection and setup.
