About this listing
This is a 1978 Guild D35 NT serial number 181985 from the golden years of Guilds Westerly, R.I. guitars. It is in good condition given its age and history. The finish is patina-ed yet very solid. With a few minor dings consistent with a 40+year old, well loved guitar. It does have a professionally repaired crack in the top, most likely from a low humidity situation. The repair uses 3 cleats and does not affect the tone or playability. There is expected light fret wear but no discernable issues. It has a remarkably nice rosewood fretboard. There are some minor blemishes to the back of the headstock apparently from being leaned against a rough wall. The neck joint is solid as these guitars were built like tanks. I can send additional and more detailed photos of specific things upon request. This is a good chance to buy a piece of history at a reasonable price. A hard case is included. The guitar came to me from a smoking environment, there is a faint smell of tobacco smoke within the case. It is currently in a smoke free environment. There are D'Addario humidipacks for the soundhole, and two others included in the case, along with a hygrometer gauge to stabilize and track humidity when being stored. At this current reduced price i am losing money from what I paid 2 years ago.Any reasonable offer would be considered.
