This is not a Fender factory finish, however the colour is really similar to the maroon burst used on some 1962 music-master guitars. The contours are good and have not been oversanded etc.No neck date - Original neck finish, it appears to have light overspray on headstock and back of neck. Original decal. The neck profile is the typical slimmer C profile 1959-1960 neck about .77 first fret to .93 12th fretTuners changed to F style tuners (late 1960’s-early 1970’s pieces) - extra hole on the face of the headstock as a result.Original frets are in excellent shape with limited mild amounts of wear, however the original owner must have had long nails as they have left fingernail grooves on the fingerboard. Original pat pend bridge and trem armThe guard has warped somewhat and as these nitrate guards do has caused two common issues - 1) being the slider switches are tight to move due to the guard shrinking around them2) the wood in the cavity of the route has a chip out of a small edge/corner of material from the screw pulling sideways It plays and sounds good, however it would benefit a player to open up the guard material around the switches to free them up for faster switching and it would benefit from a personalized professional set-upShips worldwide in a 1960’s brown Canadian export case Please let me know if you have any questions or would like any additional pictures.
