The Fender Custom Shop / Master Built 1965 Stratocaster Candy Apple Red Journeyman Relic by Greg Fessler is now in stock as a used item!! Serial: R88415, built in 2017. This is a special guitar featuring a Vintage RED DIME pickup (in its original condition). This guitar was crafted by Master Builder Greg Fessler. Greg Fessler was recognized for his skill and talent by John Page, the former head of the Fender Custom Shop who laid its foundation, and was appointed as a Master Builder.He is famous for having been responsible for building guitars for the blind virtuoso guitarist Jeff Healey, who passed away in 2008, and for serving as Robben Fordfs dedicated builder, succeeding former Master Builder Gene Baker. He is a highly popular builder in Japan due to his unwavering commitment to standing by the musician and sparing no effort to pour the highest level of craftsmanship into his work. It features a "Journeyman Relic" finish with a "Lacquer" coating on a "2-Piece Alder" body, paired with a "Maple Plain Grain" neck. The fingerboard is "AAA Rosewood," the neck shape is "65 Style 'C'," and the fingerboard radius is "7.25".The fret size is a 21-fret "Vintage Guitar Upgrade" specification. The pickups include a hand-wound "65 Strat" by Josefa Campos on the neck side, a hand-wound "65 Strat" by Josefa Campos on the middle position, and a hand-wound "65 Strat" by Josefa Campos on the bridge side. It features a 5-way switch. Additionally, this model is specially equipped with a Vintage RED DIME.
