I am offering a Fender American Vintage ’62 Reissue “Thin Skin” Jaguar from 2008, a manufactured in Corona, California (USA), Jaguar Reissue model limited to only 250 instruments featuring a solid alder body, bolt-on maple neck with mid-60s “C” neck profile and 42mm nut width, rosewood fingerboard with 9.5" radius, two wiry Mojo UK Jaguar singlecoil boutique pickups (upgrade!), sophisticated electronics featuring traditional “Lead”/ Rhythm circuits, short 610mm scale length, high-quality Fender Vintage Style “Floating” tremolo, and tuning-stable Fender Vintage nickel tuners in a beautiful Daphne Blue “Thin Skin” nitrocellulose finish with matching headstock in excellent condition, including black Fender G&G luxury hardshell case, all manufacturer’s papers, and professional setup with 10-gauge Elixir strings.This special “Thin Skin” reissue version of the ’62 Jaguar originates from the Fender Special Run (FSR), which was available only between 2007 and 2008 at select Fender dealers in the U.S., and is extremely rare (reports indicate that fewer than 50 instruments were produced in each color). Without a doubt, this model ranks among the best American Vintage Jaguar reissues Fender has ever offered.The Fender AVRI '62 “Thin Skin” Jaguar in Daphne Blue from 2008 featured here is built using the proven construction method, with a solid alder body, bolt-on maple neck, and elegant rosewood fingerboard. Unlike the AVRI series models, which are primed and sealed with polyurethane, this Thin Skin model, however, features a 100% nitrocellulose finish with much thinner layers of paint and clear coat, as well as a headstock painted to match the body!Plugged into an amp, two professionally upgraded Jaguar singlecoils from the British boutique pickup forge Mojo deliver plenty of Fender sparkle and twang. Since the factory-installed 1-meg volume and tone pots allow more signal through, the bridge pickup has much more bite and punch than on other Jaguar models. The chrome-plated “claws” surrounding the pickups are unique to the Jaguar; they help focus the pickups’ magnetic fields and also provide additional shielding against unwanted singlecoil hum.The Jaguar was Fender’s flagship instrument when it was introduced in 1962, and it is one of the most feature-rich guitars ever offered by Fender.
