About this listing
Fender American Floyd Rose Classic HH / Strat Special HH Stratocaster – USA – Black on Black – Floyd Rose Original – Hard Case"None More Black!"Up for sale is my beautiful and increasingly difficult-to-find American-made Fender Floyd Rose Classic HH / Strat Special HH Stratocaster, finished in classic gloss black with matching black pickguard and chrome hardware. This is one of Fender's more unusual American Stratocaster models, combining the traditional Stratocaster body and neck with the aggressive performance of a dual-humbucker configuration and a genuine Floyd Rose locking tremolo system. The serial number successfully registers on Fender's official serial number lookup website, identifying this instrument as belonging to the Floyd Rose Classic HH Stratocaster (1998–2001) / Strat Special HH (2001–2003) model family.Unlike a standard American Stratocaster, these guitars were designed for players wanting the familiar Fender feel with the versatility and performance of a modern rock guitar.Features & SpecificationsManufacturer: Fender Musical Instruments CorporationModel: American Floyd Rose Classic HH / Strat Special HHProduction Era: Late 1990s–Early 2000s (10/2001)Country of Manufacture: USASerial Number: DZ1142275Finish: Gloss BlackNeck: Maple with Modern "C" profileFingerboard: RosewoodFrets: 22Bridge: Floyd Rose locking tremolo systemNut: Floyd Rose locking nutTuners: Gotoh, Made in JapanPickup Configuration: Dual humbuckers (HH)Controls: Volume, Tone, and mini-toggle switchNeck Plate: Fender Corona, CaliforniaCase: Hard-shell case picturedFender Factory SpecificationsThe guitar currently features two uncovered black humbuckers and a mini-toggle switch. Great Iron Maiden tones!ConditionThis is a previously owned American Fender that presents beautifully with its all-black appearance and chrome hardware. The glossy black body shows some normal signs of handling and use, including light surface marks and polishing swirls visible under direct lighting. Previous owner played it lefty, so there is a small drill hole in the right horn, very hard to notice. The neck has surface scratches in truss rod adjustment area, but the walnut plug is still in good shape. This guitar is over 25 years old!The maple neck has an attractive amber tint, contrasting nicely with the dark rosewood fingerboard. The chrome Gotoh tuning machines are an upgrade, and the Floyd Rose hardware complement the guitar's appearance. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they are part of the description.Authenticity & DocumentationThe serial number is present on the back of the headstock and successfully returns the corresponding American Fender Floyd Rose HH model family through Fender's official serial number lookup system.A screenshot of the Fender database results is included in the listing photographs for reference. This is an uncommon American Fender configuration that deserves consideration from players and collectors interested in Fender's Floyd Rose-equipped instruments.A great opportunity to own a distinctive American-made Fender Stratocaster from an interesting period in Fender's history. This guitar is being sold As-Is, with no warranty implied. But it plays and presents perfectly for a 25+ year old guitar. I am listing this locally, and on multiple sites. I reserve the right to end the sale at any time once sold.
