Its distinctive push-pull power amplifier uses a 12BH7 valve alongside an ECC83 preamp valve, delivering rich harmonics, natural compression and satisfying overdrive at more manageable volumes than a traditional high-powered valve amplifier. Two independent channels cover a broad tonal range, from clear, warm cleans to crunchy classic rock and high-gain distortion. The clean channel features dedicated Volume and Tone controls, while the overdrive channel offers separate Gain and Volume controls. A three-band EQ and Blackstar's patented Infinite Shape Feature (ISF) provide extensive tonal flexibility, while the built-in digital stereo reverb adds depth and ambience. The 12" Blackstar Blackbird 50 speaker gives the amplifier a substantial sound, while the speaker-emulated output, effects loop and external speaker connections add useful recording and connectivity options. This example is finished in classic black with a woven grille cloth and cream Blackstar logo. It shows signs of previous use, including light scuffs and marks to the cabinet covering, but remains in presentable cosmetic condition.
