The flagship compressor and limiter from Spectra 1964. If you're not familiar, this is the modern evolution of the legendary Spectra Sonics Model 610 that first showed up in 1969 and became a studio staple. It runs the same revered 601 Complimiter module as the original, just updated for todays workflows.

The V610 does compression and limiting, either independently or at the same time. Its known for an ultra fast peak limiter, super low noise floor, and a +24dBu output. Mastering engineers love it as the first device in the chain since knocking down peaks gives everything after it more headroom and less distortion. It also doubles as a killer mic pre thanks to the 110A amp stage and 65dB of gain, so its great for tracking vocals and guitars too. Detented stepped controls mean you get perfect recall every time.
