Good Golly! These guys were used in Neve compressors and preamps - they're big, heavy and beautiful - a bit like giving your bottom end a great big hug (!!!).... nothing wrong with that. They not only glue a mix like nothing else - at certain saturation levels (we use logic x utility to do this) they add a huge amount of energy and thwack - all without any compression goo to sludge up the mix. They do a Lot of different things .. obvs glueing mixes - but also sweetening and soothing vocals and synths / guitars / cymbals etc - their top end is lovely even when pushed, which means you can add a ton of energy to a sound source without it getting spikey. There's nothing like them for processing subs - you can go from gently placing an 808 in a mix to ripping that low end to shreds in the most pleasing way. Gitcha some of the the real analog 3d deal y'all - and put them mixes right where they belong! Balanced jacks in and out.
