Neumann CM3 Capsule (40) for CMV3 (M7 predecessor)
Up for sale is the Neumann CM3 microphone capsule from the 1930-1950s.
It was originally used in the CMV3. It’s also known under the names: M1-2, Ela M14 (Telefunken) and ia very similar to the CM5 and M48a capsules that can be used with the first version of the U47.
It was developed only a couple years before the M7 and is its predecessor.
The backplate is marked „40“ and it looks completely unused. There was note that said 75pF.
Very good cosmetic condition but no chance to test it. Sold as is.
