Rare. Unique. Unmistakable.
A one-of-a-kind jazz cymbal to give your kit its own voice.
Each 703 is singular — no two are alike. Its character emerges in the making, guided by Toshio Koide’s ear and instinct as the cymbal reveals its voice.
Within the Koide range, the 703 series comes closest to the old, traditional Turkish sound. Forged in Japan from Koide’s B20 alloy, each cymbal is shaped and refined entirely by hand hammering — a process that defines both its profile and its tone. The bells are typically lower and slightly smaller, contributing to its warmth and control.
Expressive, responsive, and beautifully sensitive across the surface, the 703 is at home in jazz and any setting that calls for warmth, complexity, and organic depth.
The attached link provides an extract from a record done with this very cymbal.
