The YAMAHA TX5n power amplifier is a clever combination of power, DSP processing, and network technology.

For over 30 years, Yamaha has been offering amplifiers of unparalleled power for professional audio applications. The TXn amplifiers, the flagship of the current amp lineup, are distinguished by their exceptional sound quality and extremely reliable two-ohm operation. Now, the TXn series amplifiers combine these qualities with several cutting-edge Yamaha technologies to offer the best in power, processing capacity, and network performance.

Three new high-power amplifiers—the 2,200-watt TX4n, the 2,500-watt TX5n, and the 3,300-watt per channel into two ohms TX6n—offer state-of-the-art onboard DSP capabilities, an area where Yamaha quality has long been renowned. All three TXn models feature a 24-bit/96 kHz DSP engine that provides access to a wide range of control and processing functions. In addition to basic amplifier control and status monitoring, this range boasts enough built-in DSP power to accommodate extensive speaker processing functions, eliminating the need for external equalizers, speaker processors, and delays in most applications.

All models feature direct analog and digital inputs, with automatic redundant switching between digital and analog inputs. The input configuration can be customized using optional Yamaha mini-YGDAI expansion cards. By replacing the standard AES/EBU I/O card, these high-performance amplifiers are fully compatible with CobraNet or EtherSound audio networks, as well as any other format supported by the mini-YGDAI interface cards.
