1989 Lomo um51 vintage soviet FET mic with 8a5 capsule
Up for sale is the LOMO UM51
FET Mic, cardioid 8a5 capsule and cable. The solid state LOMOs don't look quite as cool, and don't get as much attention as the older tube mics, but the UM51s are really wonderful sounding FET microphones with a surprisingly warm yet present sound.
This set includes:
LOMO UM51 mic preamp, modified to accept 48V phantom power (Serial # 890021)
Cardioid 8a5 medium-diaphragm capsule (same as the LOMO 19a4)
XLR adapter cable
The UM51 microphones were originally powered by 12V battery-powered power supplies, but this mic wos modified to accept 48V phantom power..
Cosmetically, the UM51 bodie and 8a5 capsule are in good condition. The diaphragm is in great shape, and mic sounds excellent.
