Description of item

★This test tape has been stored for a long time, opened, and is a new used item, so although it has been checked in several places, we cannot guarantee that the signal has been accurately recorded throughout the entire length of the tape.

★All signals on the test tape are recorded at full track, but during playback the signal is picked up within the core width of the playback head, so the playback output is accurately reproduced.

However, this requires that the A side be used. Ultra-low frequency bands may be output differently depending on the shape of the head. Signals are recorded separately for channel separation/crosstalk only.

★To fully adjust a tape recorder/tape deck, test tapes are an absolute necessity along with measuring equipment.

Adjustments are made using three or more types of test tapes, such as wow and flutter/speed measurement adjustment, head angle (azimuth) adjustment, reference level adjustment, and frequency response adjustment.

★During the heyday of cassette tape recorders/tape decks, famous manufacturers both in Japan and overseas sold test tapes.

Three Japanese companies, TEAC, Lc Engineering, and A.BEX, accounted for more than 70% of the world's market, but currently there are no companies that manufacture cassette test tapes, making them valuable items for maintenance.

★AZIMUTH (8-10KHz) and LEVEL (400 or 333Hz) can be read on the cassette deck meter, but the 3KHz WOW/FLUTTER does not react on the cassette deck meter.

However, since it is a frequency that is easily audible to the human ear, a measuring device is not necessarily required.

★カセットテープレコーダー/テープデッキ全盛のころ国内外の有名メーカーが Test Tape を発売していました。日本のTEAC、Lc Engineering、A・BEXの３社で世界の７０％以上を賄っていましが、現在、Cassette test tapeを製造している会社は無く、メンテナンス用として貴重な物になっています。

★AZIMUTH(8～10KHz)やLEVEL(400または333Hz)はカセットデッキのメーターで読み取れまが、3KHzのWOW/FLUTTERはカセットデッキのメーターでは反応しません。しかし人間の耳で容易に感じられる周波数なので必ずしも測定器を必要とはしません。

Regarding handling of Cassette Half (Correction of contents of cassette tape)

1. Use a size 1 Phillips (+) screwdriver (thin metal screwdrivers are not suitable)

2. Insert the tape at a right angle into the reel groove and secure it with a clip.

3. Only splicing tape can be used for tape connections.

4. Place the cassette half so that side A is flat and is not curved.

5. Do not overtighten the screws. Stop 1/4 of the way before the end of the rotation.

6. The tape will now run down the center of the cassette half.

7. Long (120 minutes) tapes tend to cause problems, so it is best to avoid using them.

★カセットハーフの取り扱いについて（カセットテープの中身修正）

１.ドライバーは1号サイズのプラス(＋)を使用する (金属の細いドライバーは不向きです)

2.テープはリールの溝に直角に入れクリップで止めてください

3. テープの接続はスプラシングテープ以外は使用できません

4. 作業はＡ面がフラットになるように置きカセットハーフがへの字に曲がらないように注意する

5. ネジは強く締め付けず止まる1/4回転手前の位置でストップしてください

6. これでテープはハーフの中心を走行するでしょう

7. ロング（120分）テープはトラブルが多く使用を避けたほうが無難です
