Loxley Custom Guitars Cygnus 2022 - Dark burst
Designed a decade ago, at the same time as I designed my headstocks. Named after the Cygnus or Swan constellation, due to its sweeping curves, this guitar is a homage to the single cut guitars of the 50s with a number of modern touches.
A much more ergonomic design and feel, redesigned neck heel, dovetail neck joint, simplified control lay out and striking chamfered edges. This makes for a comfortable and highly enjoyable playing experience. 24.75" scale, 12 " radius.
This was the original prototype of the Cygnus and the finish has aged beautifully, showing signs of natural weather checking.

Utile neck with a chunkier 58 neck profile.
Darkburst top with natural back, bursted neck, gloss Nitro
Wenge fretboard with leaping trout inlay at the 12th and sweeping mother of pearl dots.
Mother of Pearl L inlay.
Medium Jumbo frets.
Custom wound Fletcher "Cygnus" pickups. Hot and fat sounding P90 at the neck and a hotter PAF at the bridge. Very articulate and alive.
Gotoh nickel hardware.
Switchcraft switch.
2 volume, 1 tone, Bourns pots, PIO cap.
Gotoh machine heads.
Hard case will be provided
