Ampex 601 mono tube microphone preamp, modded, functional 1950s/1960s

Ampex 601 Preamp. Modded as shown in photos. Appears to be the sought-after Ampex 58-0022 input transformer, see the last photo.

Tested: VU meter lights up and functions, XLR input works, Line Output on side outputs signal, appears to be relatively clean, usable signal. has a removable 2-prong AC power cord. Tested with both an SM58 and an RCA ribbon mic and there is tons of gain with both. Not sure who it was modded by or how, this is how I bought it. Happy to provide any other photos or info I can.

This unit is heavy, and I will double-box it and pad it so the box will be fairly large. Shipping cost is an estimate, if I can ship for cheaper I will refund you the difference. If you are in USA, you are responsible for duty/taxes/whatever gets charged at border. I will ship Canada Post so it is less likely to get charged (Fedex and UPS always charge it) but it's at your risk. Local pickup available and may be willing to drive a certain distance to meet up, depending on sale price.
