1981 Celestion G12-65 T3053 8 ohm 65 Watt Original RARE
For sale is an original (not Heritage reissue) 1981 UK made Celestion G12-65 speaker. This is the super rare 8 ohm T3053 model. I am 90% sure this is an original cone based on its appearance and features HOWEVER I cannot totally confirm. I am not able to find a cone stamp on it. These are normally black stamped 1777 code Kurt Mueller cones and sometimes they are faint against the black cone paper or missing entirely. These originals are super hard to find in 8 ohm, and are fantastic sounding speakers! One of my favorites. In my mind they kind of bridge the gap between the H magnet greenbacks and higher wattage Celestions. Said by some to be the greatest 4x12 speaker of all time. I can also agree. They shine with a variety of styles. Excellent for high gain rock and metal as well as when blacked off for blues and even a little twang when used with a Fender. This has no operational issues at all. No buzzing, weird noises, coil rubbing etc. Great speaker. Will be packed and shipped safely and securely via UPS with insurance.
