Ready to add to your arsenal is one for the shredders, an original 1987 Ibanez RG 550, the guitar that started it all alongside the Jem all inspired and by Steve Vai. The 550 was the first of the RG series and '87 the first year of the run. Designed as a simpler alternative to the Jem. These feature a super fast wizard neck which is thin with a flat radius, so it's perfect for fast playing and soloing. This guitar has been well loved, as you can see it has it's fair share of chips in the finish and a typical neck pocket stress crack in the paint, factory name unknown but it is a light blue silver. The frets are in great shape, fretboard shows typical wear, and there are also two small stress cracks on the back of the headstock by the bolts. This is also typical of these guitars but is surface and none of this affects function. The guitar is setup, plays excellent and you can fly on this neck. These are getting harder to find and don't typically last long around here. We will ship it in a used hardshell case.
