Be sure to check out the video demo we did for this incredible 12 string guitar!
These cool guitars were only made in 1966 and 1967 so its one of those years. Its all original and it is sooooo coool..... It plays great with awesome low playing easy action…Happy to have the original Hard shell case with it…quite a guitar outfit here…
The guitar is all original with the awesome green finish. Some dings and slight scratches are all we could find. It’s a very solid Made in Italy guitar … Original Single coil Pickups that sound amazing. Very dark and punchy but scream like a Rick for that Petty or Byrds sound we all look for…
Heres some info I found regarding these cool guitars.
The 1960s saw a huge increase in demand for guitars in Europe just as it did in the US, leading a bloom of local manufacturers there. With a design language all their own, Italian companies like EKO, Wandre, Crucianelli, JG and Galanti began producing instruments that sometimes seemed more like functional pieces of art than workhorse guitars. As distribution grew and diversified, the range of Italian brand names grew as well, giving rise to the likes of Davoli, Krundaal, Framez, Elite, and Noble. Never boring, always eye-catching, these vintage European gems provide an antidote to the funky Teisco-fueled vintage Japanese resurgence.
Julio Giulietti guitars (often bearing the "JG" logo on the headstock) were built in Italy, often by the same companies that built accordions. When the guitar market started booming in the '60s, a number of European accordion builders started making guitars as well, which is why so many Italian guitars from that period have eye-catching plastic coverings. Many of their American importers picked them up, sometimes attaching their own brands (as with Giulietti and Sano).
Again, this guitar is all original! Pickguard, Pickups, knobs, switch bridge, tailpiece and Tuners…those are always missing… Truss rod cover, JG raised Logo plate, and of course the neck and that awesome green finished Body!! What an eye catcher…this is one cool guitar that you are not going to see on many stages or studios. A true time capsule from the heyday of the Rockin 1960’s!!!
Be sure to check out the pics of the original case! All the latches and hinges work as they should. The interior still has very nice gold plush lining and the accessory box is still in it! Those are always missing! A great case for your really cool JG Guitar!
This guitar is super cool but used and vintage so it will be sold as-is no returns. However, I have been hand picking my customers guitars for close to 20 years now and all have loved the guitars I found them. This cool JG will certainly not be an exception.
Thanks for checking out our cool vintage guitars!
