Here is an exceptionally clean and uncommon 2007 Fender American Select Mahogany Stratocaster HSS in stunning Crimson Transparent Red with a factory-painted black headstock. Made in the USA and produced as a special limited-run model, this guitar combines classic Stratocaster feel with a rich-sounding mahogany body and an extremely versatile HSS pickup system.
This particular guitar was manufactured on June 14, 2007, and remains in like-new, all-original condition. It shows exceptionally little evidence of use and has clearly been carefully stored and maintained. The deep transparent crimson finish allows the attractive mahogany grain to show through, while the matching black headstock, black pickguard, and black pickup covers give it a distinctive appearance unlike a standard American Stratocaster.
The pickup configuration consists of two custom-staggered Fender Tex-Mex single-coils in the neck and middle positions paired with a powerful Fender Diamondback humbucker at the bridge. Fender’s S-1 switching system greatly expands the available pickup combinations, allowing this guitar to cover everything from clear traditional Strat tones to thicker series-wired sounds and muscular humbucker leads.
The comfortable Modern “C” maple neck features a rosewood fingerboard with rolled edges, 22 medium-jumbo frets, mother-of-pearl dot inlays, and a 9.5-inch radius. An LSR roller nut, Fender locking tuners, and two-point synchronized tremolo help provide excellent tuning stability and dependable performance.
It weighs 8 pounds, 5.69 ounces—substantial enough to deliver the depth and sustain associated with its mahogany body without feeling excessively heavy.
The original Fender molded hardshell case is included and is also in superb condition. This is a remarkably well-preserved example of an increasingly difficult-to-find American-made Fender model.
