Yamaha RGX 112P 1991 - Black

Beautifully restored 1991 Yamaha RGX 112P. Classic 90s vibe, completely revived and ready to play!

Found this vintage shredder when it was left to a rust in peace end, and gave it a exhaustive overhaul. According to its serial number (HI11055), this guitar was built on February 1991, at Yamaha's renowned Kaohsiung factory in Taiwan.

Every single original screw, plastic part, and tuner was salvaged, meticulously deep-cleaned to remove rust, and returned exactly to its original place. It looks great, plays fast, and sounds fantastic.

Restoration & Condition Details:

• Hardware & Electronics: All original hardware has been deeply cleaned to remove rust and oxidation. The damaged tone pot has been replaced with a brand new one. The height of both the volume and tone pots have been lowered, so the knobs now sit perfectly flush against the pickguard for a cleaner, sleeker look. The degraded original pickguard shielding has been removed and re-shielded from scratch.
• Pickups: The pickup pole pieces have been carefully derusted and cleaned. Both the single coils and the humbucker are fully functional and sound excellent.
• Pickup Readings: Electronics have been fully tested and measured. The pickup resistance values are as follows:
• Single Coils: 4.43 kOhm
• Humbucker: 6.50 kOhm
• Tremolo Bar: The original bar was missing, so a brand new matching tremolo arm has been added.
• Neck & Frets: Despite the initial surface rust on the hardware, the frets themselves showed very little wear. The fretboard has been cleaned and conditioned, the frets have been polished, and the neck is straight.
• Setup: Freshly set up with a brand new set of D'Addario XL120 (09-42) strings. It plays with low, comfortable action.
• Body Condition: The body is cleaned and polished, showing very little overall wear for its age.
  Note: There was a paint chip on the back of the body, as seen on the pictures. It was carefully repaired and glued it down to ensure structural stability and prevent future peeling, but chose not to do a full cosmetic refinish to preserve its authentic vintage character.
