About this listing
A great-sounding USA-made Taylor from the final years of 200 Series production before production moved to Mexico. This 214e features excellent fit and finish, strong projection, and a well-balanced tone. The Taylor Expression System preamp sounds terrific plugged in, while the rosewood fingerboard offers a smooth, comfortable feel and easy playability up and down the neck. The only thing to note is that I had a thin hairline surface crack on the top professionally repaired about ten years ago, which has been solid and no affect to play whatsoever. I've included a closeup photo, though it is very to see. Also included is an new D'Addario onboard tuner that softly clips onto the edge of the sound hole. This is my home writing guitar and stays in a climate-controlled home studio out of direct sunlight and often in its case. Professionally set up and ready to play—this guitar looks, plays, and sounds fantastic.Specifications & BuildGrand Auditorium body with a gloss-finished solid Sitka spruce top and satin-finished laminated Indian rosewood back and sides.
