About this listing
I am the original owner. Purchased new from Truetone Music in Santa Monica in 2016. Didn't care for the 'flubby' sound of the Fender Wide Range humbucker in the neck, nor the Broadcaster pickup, so I replaced them with bright and punchy Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound pickups and added a new pickguard. Swapped out the 4-way switch to a more typical 3-way neck/middle/bridge configuration with a white Strat cap. I'll include the original pickups, pick-up selector switch, and guard. Has all the case candy and the strap. Fender tweed case included, of course.Fender only made these for about a year, and players loved them, myself included. I feel lucky that I got to own one. BTW- there are some good video demos online from various players and retailers.I didn't play this one very much, yet there are a few scratches and tiny nicks on the body. See photos. The feel of the neck is fantastic (between a "D" and a "V"), and the compound radius fretboard is a pleasure to play. I used a 320 grit Scotch Brite pad to give the neck a satin feel. Did the same on the back of the guitar. Frets are in excellent shape. Neck pocket is perfect. The back of the neck as no dings or scratches. Hate to sell it, but I am paring down my rig to a Les Paul, a Princeton, and a few key pedals.Make sure you want this guitar because I am selling it as is. Feel free to ask questions. No trades. NOTE: I take great care in protecting instruments for shipping- check out my reviews. Thank you for looking.
