About this listing
*Please see all pictures and read description to get full understanding of this guitars condition *This poor little guitar has obviously been thru the ringer. This is not one of the best refins I’ve ever seen, unfortunately. Hardware was swapped to gold at some point as I can’t find an example of a 1960s Duo Sonic with gold hardware. Bridge seems to be fairly old/vintage as well but can’t confirm. Tuners are vintage klusons. The pickups don’t exactly fit perfectly in the body routes but this is how I got it and didn’t wanna mess with it any further. Neck pocket sandpaper shim added to get the strings to be able to jump over the pickups. Neck pickup cannot sit any lower than it currently is. I would highly recommend swapping the pickups out with some that sound better and fit into the body routes better. D string nut slot has been filled and recut. G string nut slot might need to be filled and recut depending on your preference. It does buzz a little When not fretted. Tone knob control not currently functioning. Definitely would be a great candidate for a proper Refin and pickup upgrade, that would really make this thing as cool as it deserves to be. 1963 Duo-Sonic Neck, Body and Pickguard/Shielding Plate for PickguardVintage Kluson Deluxe Gold Tuners Replaced Electronics (Wiring and Pickups)Bad Refin in Blue/PurpleFeel free to ask any questions you might have.
