Designed in collaboration with respected archtop builder Ryan Thorell, this distinctive model captures Frank Vignola’s preference for a comfortable, responsive instrument that combines Gypsy-jazz character with the warmth of an electric archtop.Its compact 15-inch hollow body features an AAA tight-grained spruce top with flamed mahogany back and sides. The ebony bridge, Thorell-style tailpiece, gold hardware and four-ply ivoroid binding complement its elegant and highly individual design.A Lollar Johnny Smith floating neck pickup, operated by discreet thumbwheel controls, provides a clear and warm amplified sound. The guitar responds particularly well to variations in picking technique, ranging from woody and articulate to dark, mellow and rounded. Its Traditional Even C neck profile and 12-inch ebony fingerboard radius make it comfortable and relaxed to play.ConditionThe guitar is listed in Good condition because it was accidentally knocked from its stand on one occasion, resulting in visible damage around the base of the neck/heel area. This is clearly shown in the detailed photographs. The guitar remains fully functional, and the damage has no noticeable effect on its sound or playability.
