This allows you to properly match the impedance to the microphone you are using, or purposely mismatch for seom creative tone shaping. The choice is yours!The Cloud Microphones Cloudlifter CL-Z Mic Activator features a variable impedance control - Vari-Z - to shape and contour the sound of your ribbon or dynamic microphone, as well as a continuously variable high-pass filtering @ -6dB per octave works in tandem with the variable impedance control for even greater tonal shaping. The Cloudlifter's patented discrete JFET circuitry preserves the source's natural sound. Two gain settings - more & max - yield up to +25dB of ultra-clean gain for low output dynamic & ribbon microphones.
