This is a handmade prototype module from Pluton Modular purchased directly from the team at Knobcon in 2024. To my knowledge this module was never released to production.
It is a drum voice built around an analog Texas Instruments NE556 chip (visible at the bottom of the PCB) which itself a dual version of the classic 555 chip used in the 808. It uses all discrete ICs and no digital components.
It has a much broader range of sounds than any single 808 drum voice is capable of due to toggleable noise and much wider knob ranges.
Additional photos, answers, etc available upon request.
Note: This is a one-of-a-kind prototype module. It may behave in unexpected ways. There is no manual. The components are wider than the faceplate so when you install it, make sure there is enough room for them.
