22" Modified Zildjian Avedis Overhammered Ride 2379gr (VIDEO)

This is a 22" cymbal that used to be a 1980s Deep Ride. Due to significant hammering and lathing it down on the top and bottom to a weight of 2379 grams it's now a totally different cymbal, although it still has a bit of it's deep ride low frequencies and the characteristic Avedis bright stick definition. To complete the cymbal, some overhammering has been done, mainly in the area around the bell. 

The sound profile now is a complex right with a lot of nice harmonics and overtones. The sticking is bright, yet a little smokey and woody, so basically everything you'd want from a complex jazz ride. A lot to discover in this cymbals, and when it mellows down a bit due to playing and aging of the new lathing, it will balance out a little more in the places where it can be it wild at the moment, due to the fresh lathing. In other words,, it will only get bette ad better!
