About this listing
Gibson's J185, originally released in the early 1950s, is often thought of as the SJ200's little brother, but it actually appears to be a distant relative! The slightly smaller body of the J185 offers remarkably comfortable playability and superior tonal performance. It maintains an excellent balance between lows, mids, and highs, with an even response from every note across the fingerboard. This 1952 J185 is fitted with a thermally aged Sitka spruce top and solid maple back and sides. The rosewood fingerboard features pearl split-parallelogram inlays, while the rosewood bridge is equipped with a vintage-style long saddle and the iconic mother-of-pearl cross inlay.Built in 2023, this guitar remains in excellent condition. Only minimal playwear can be found on the pickguard and body, yet it still looks exceptionally clean! It comes in its case with a TFOA passport and certificate of authenticity.
