About this listing
Up for sale is a used 1963 Fender 6G2 Princeton. This amp was purchased by my late father sometime in the 70s and it's been in the family ever since. This is definitely more of a "player's amp" than a collector piece, but she has it where it counts and has been one of the best sounding and most reliable amps I've ever used. In terms of what has been upgraded, the original baffle was destroyed by the previous owner when they decided to put a 12" speaker in it, so I had Mather Cabs make a perfect 10" baffle for it with period correct grill cloth. Additionally, the amp has been grounded out, the ground switch has been disconnected, the filter caps as well as a few others have been replaced, and a bias pot has been installed. The original handle fell apart and was replaced with a period correct leather one. The speaker and speaker cable were both upgraded and it currently has an Eminence Ramrod in it, which is my favorite 10" in these after many years of trial and error. Oh, and that is an Air Tag holder on the bottom. It just sticks on and I can remove it if I need to before shipping, but I tag all of my gear and it doesn't interfere with the sound or the signal in that location. This is a great sounding and reliable amplifier. The mids on it are beautiful and the tremolo is literally to do for.Reasonable offers will be reviewed. Shipping is to the lower 48 states only. I will not ship internationally. I am not interested in trades.
