For sale is my beloved Selmer Privilege Low-C Bass Clarinet. It is in excellent condition and has been used pretty lightly by me. I've decided to part with it for two reasons. The first is that I no longer need a bass that goes down to low C. The second is related to the first in that I recently purchased a Backun Low Eb horn that is much lighter than the Selmer. Given my advancing age (almost 70), lighter horns win almost every time.
The serial number on this horn is 003698, which puts its manufacture date in 2010. It's recently had a workover by my clarinet technician.
New, these horns retail for around USD 16,000. I am asking USD 10,000 plus shipping and insurance. Of course, local pickup would be preferable, but Jerusalem would be quite the drive for most SOTW members. Comes with excellent Selmer backpack case. Mouthpiece and stand (seen in the photos) are not included.
I've attached some photos. If you would like photos of specific parts of the horn, drop me a line.
