Here is a Hamer Prototype in absolutely original condition—including the original case—from a collection liquidation! There are no major dings or dents on the body, only normal signs of play; there are no grooves or notches in the original fret wire or the fretboard itself. A true rarity from the golden era of American guitar making: a 1981 Hamer Prototype in pristine, completely original condition. This model was a genuine innovation in the early 1980s. Hamer was one of the first manufacturers worldwide to combine a humbucker and a single-coil pickup within a single mounting ring (the "Triplebucker" concept), allowing for maximum tonal versatility without the need for additional routing. Technical Specifications & Features: • Model: Hamer Prototype (Made in USA) • Year of Manufacture: 1981 (verified by the original stamped serial number 14621) • Body & Neck: Premium Honduran mahogany (one-piece mahogany neck, set-neck construction) • Fretboard: Rosewood with dot inlays • Tuners: Original Schaller (West Germany) tuners (fully functional and stable tuning) • Electronics: 100% original and unmodified. No breaks, no modifications, and no aftermarket routing. The original finish displays a beautiful, authentic patina—exactly what you would want in a genuine vintage guitar. The frets show only minimal signs of play, the neck is straight, and the action is perfectly set up. The guitar comes in its original case! We’ve given the guitar a full setup with new 10–46 gauge strings; the fretboard was oiled and the action optimally adjusted! Take a look around our store: Not happy with the price?
