Xotic Effects BB Preamp
Our users rate Reverb
The BB Preamp is a classic overdrive/boost pedal, inspired in spirit by vintage Marshall Bluesbreaker tones. It is remarkably versatile: with the Gain set to minimum, it delivers up to +30 dB of clean boost while preserving the natural character of the guitar and amplifier. As the Gain is increased, it moves into warm, creamy, slightly compressed overdrive, eventually reaching a thicker, more saturated tone. Its active Bass and Treble controls each offer ±15 dB of adjustment, allowing precise tonal shaping with far greater flexibility than a typical Tube Screamer-style overdrive.
