Predecessor and little brother of the famous MD421.
This is a dynamic microphone with a response pattern specifically designed to provide the minimum of the pick-up from the sides and rear. This makes the MD 411 HLM particularly suitable for commentary or solo artist applications.
The in-built triple impedance transformer, switchable on the underside of the unit, enables the microphone to be connected directly to either Low (200 ohms), Medium (600 ohms) or High (25K ohms) impedance input circuits.
The suffix HLM on our MD 411 HLM microphone indicates a triple impedance function. This microphone features the high and low impedance outputs of an HL microphone, as well as a medium impedance output. The microphone connector is wired according to DIN 45594, as shown in the opposite diagram. The medium impedance output is particularly suitable for transistorized tape recorders and amplifiers. The HLM circuit diagram shows that switching from HL to M is accomplished via an internal switch. The HLM function is universally applicable and allows the microphone to be connected to any amplifier or tape recorder.
