The best system for a foolproof setup! GO.8 is an automatic switcher for backing tracks with backup. It
can automatically switch between 8 audio channels, a MIDI line, and a
video line. GO.8 works with B.Beat and computer-based systems.
- GO.8 – JUST PLAY!
GO.8 is an automatic switcher for managing redundant backup. It
can automatically switch between 8 audio channels, a MIDI line, and a
video line. Switching can occur between two audio players such as a computer with a sequencer, or two B.Beats, or other sound and/or video sources.
GO.8 is ideal for live concerts and theater performances using
backing tracks, MIDI tracks, and video tracks that cannot be interrupted.
- NO MORE CRASHES ON STAGE
The GO.8 uses a gate that detects the crash of the main machine and switches in real time to the "backup" machine, ensuring continuity even in the event of a failure.
There are two groups of audio inputs (with 8 balanced channels), two video inputs, and two MIDI inputs. Switching between the two groups occurs automatically via a specific audio SYNCH signal (sine wave, at a frequency of 1 kHz) on channel 8 of the GO.8. As soon as the loss of this signal is detected, the device switches to the redundant input group B.
Switching can also be done manually using the SELECT button on the front panel.
- COMPACT AND ROBUST
Housed in a sturdy 19" steel rack, the GO.8 is equipped with a choice of 25-pin D-sub or 1/4" TRS input connectors with D-Sub and XLR outputs.
The front panel XLR jacks produce a balanced mic-level DI signal to feed a snake system and are transformer-isolated to eliminate hum and buzz caused by ground loops.
The rear panel D-Sub connectors provide direct balanced line-level connectivity.
- WITH B.BEAT: AT THE TOP!
Using M-Live products from the B.Beat line, you can send the mixed SYNCH signal to audio tracks on input 8 of the GO.8 (both Jack and DB25).
This allows you to use all the outputs available on B.Beat without sacrificing one for the GO.8.
- CASCADE MANAGEMENT
For complex configurations, multiple GO.8s can be connected to create 16-, 24-, or 32-track systems.
In the diagram to the side, two GO.8s are daisy-chained to manage 16 audio channels generated by the B.Beat PRO16.
The MIDI and video signals are also connected, and the GO.8 can handle them redundantly, just like the audio signal.
- ALSO WITH PCS AND TABLETS
The GO.8 is also suitable for use with computers.
In this case, it's necessary to use one of the audio tracks as a drone, so that the GO.8 has the appropriate signal to perform the switchover in the event of a crash on the main computer.
You'll need to record an audio track with a technical signal in your DAW that will guide the GO.8. This track is not necessary if two B.Beats are used for the backing tracks.
The GO.8 is the ideal device for building a foolproof system, capable of preventing any type of crash on stage.
- SMPTE TRACK MANAGEMENT
The GO.8 features a function to read SMPTE timecode as an LTC signal from channel 7 (both Groups A and B) for real-time verification of the timecode value.
The unit's power supply is also redundant: two power supplies can be connected to prevent shutdowns due to a power supply failure.
