About this listing
Serial Number: 215660088 Weight: 7oz The Gibson 70s Flying V brings back one of the most recognizable electric guitar designs of all time, complete with the attitude and powerful sound that made it a favorite of rock players throughout the 1970s. At Sims Music, we've always loved guitars with a little personality, and the Flying V certainly delivers. Its unmistakable body shape, matching headstock, chrome hardware, and silver reflector knobs capture the bold styling of the era, while the SlimTaper mahogany neck provides a comfortable, fast-playing feel. The bound rosewood fingerboard adds a touch of refinement to a guitar that's otherwise all about rock and roll.
A pair of uncovered 70s Tribute humbuckers gives this Flying V the punch, clarity, and aggressive character needed for everything from classic hard rock to soaring lead tones. Hand-wired electronics with Orange Drop capacitors provide responsive tone control, making it easy to dial in everything from thick rhythm sounds to cutting solos. The Flying V has always been a guitar that makes a statement, but there's a reason its popularity has lasted for decades beyond its appearance. It's a serious instrument with a sound and feel to match. Like every new guitar at Sims Music, this Gibson receives a complete professional setup from our team before shipping, so it's ready to play when it arrives.SpecificationsStrings Gauge: .010, .013, .017, .026, .036, .046Case: HardshellAccessories: Includes Gibson Accessory KitTuning Machines: Grover Rotomatic with Kidney ButtonTruss Rod: AdjustableTailpiece: Stop BarSwitch Tip: CreamPickguard: White 3-plyFinish: ChromeControl Knobs: Black Top Hats with silver insertsBridge: Nashville Tune-O-MaticPickup Selector: 3-way ToggleOutput Jack: 1/4"Neck Pickup: 70s TributeControls: 2 Volume, 1 Tone; Hand-wired with Orange Drop CapacitorsBridge Pickup: 70s TributeScale Length: 628.65mm / 24.75inProfile: SlimTaperNut Width: Graph TechNeck Material: MahoganyInlays: Acrylic DotFrets: Medium JumboFret Count: 22Fingerboard Radius: 12 in. | 304.8 mmFingerboard Material: RosewoodEnd Of Board Width: 57.4mm / 2.26inBody Shape: Flying VBody Material: MahoganyBody Finish: Gloss Nitrocellulose Lacquer
